  • My 1st Carrie Concert

    On 2/22/08, I saw my very 1st Carrie concert and it was amazing!!

    Ok well I went with my mom because no one in my family or any of my friends likes Carrie. My mom offered to go with me because she didn't want me to go by myself and plus she likes some of Carrie's songs. I don't think my mom really expected to have a good time, but I think she had a fantastic time. She was surprised that Carrie played guitar and she thought she was really good. Her favorites of the night were All American Girl (she said it's like her favorite song ever), So Small, I Told You So, and November Rain/Paradise City. She said Paradise City was fantastic!!

    Carrie said that she was so nervous that no one would come because of the snow and the cold, but it was a full house. Carrie also said that Pitt was a lot bigger than her college. I also love how there were people of all different ages there. I saw a lot of older couples by themselves, groups of teenage boys, and there were 2 older men sitting a couple rows in front of me. They were dancing and clapping the whole time. The kid beside my mom really loved Paradise City. This group of about 6 girls in front of me were so funny. The one girl must have thought she was up on the stage because she was doing motions for EVERY song. It was hilarious. I was surprised that a lot of people actually stood up where I was sitting (all the way at the top directly across from the stage). My seats weren't bad at all.

    It's very hard to pick a favorite because I loved every single bit!! Well it was my first time ever seeing Carrie live, so I was pretty excited. Carrie blew me away with every single song and it was the best concert I've ever been to.

    IAICA-I love how Carrie said "anymore" really fast the one time-it was so cute Wasted-I loved the green lights that looked like strings. They were really cool Crazy Dreams-one of my fav songs on the Cd and I loved it even more live IKYW, ITYS, JAD-amazing vocals, wasn't really a fan of JAD until after hearing it live Some Hearts Medley-I love the parts of the songs Carrie chose to sing and I was so happy that she sang TWII because it's one of my faves JTTW-my favorite song on the old album and it gave me chills to hear it live and I also loved when the crowd sang it Last Name-really didn't like it at first on the CD, but now I love it and the crowd really loves it too SS-it was so amazing to hear this song live. it's my favorite song ever November Rain/Paradise City-Carrie had so much fun with these 2 songs and I loved how she was rocking out BHC-I loved the confetti and it was so cool how the entire crowd was singing

    Don't Forget to Remember Me-probably one of the coolest moments ever in my life. I never really thought about how much this song meant to me before the concert, since I started my 1st year of college about a month ago. Carrie was talking about her mom and I was there with my mom. Well the thing was that I'm attending Pitt, where the concert was at, and I never thought about that before. my eyes started to fill with tears and I looked over and my mom was wiping tears from her face as well. It was just so surreal how the moment was.

    I still didn't get to meet Carrie, but it was still the greatest night of my life. I can't wait to see another Carrie concert!!!

    Hi Lexi! Cool! It’ll be a first for both of us. I’m SUPER excited about going tho! From what I’ve heard, the FCP is really laid back. Hahaha I agree. Everybody should just make signs with their screennames! Wow…Forever Changed is such a sad song. But they’re all AMAZING and I can’t pick a favorite because the album is just purely incredible! I love how dramatic BA and 2BC are. They totally paint pictures in my head, which no song has ever done before! I also really love See You Again and Who Are You (for now…my favs will change every day! Lol)

    Yes!! I’m hoping that I’ll get an invite to the Fan Club Party! It’ll be my first one so I’m super psyched! Have you gone before? Hopefully I’ll meet you there:) I can’t wait to meet a lot of people from the Fan Club! I’ll probably just go around asking people, “who are you? Do I know you? Well, nice to meet you!” and move on. Haha! Have a great day/week!

    Hey Lexi! :D Blown Away sounds amazing! And did you hear her Kmart interview? She said there was a really sad song about a mother and daughter…and that that one is her favorite…I REALLY want to know what that one is! But thanks to the AMAZING Carrie, we get to hear it in less than a week!!! :O

    Hi Lexi! No worries:) Take as much time as you need to respond! Sometimes I get caught up with school and stuff so I can’t respond right away either. AH I know! May 1st needs to just be here already! Blown away sounds epic. Just with the title! I can’t wait to hear all those amazing songs! Did you see any of them on the album that really stick out to you? Wine After Whiskey really intrigues me! I want to hear them all so badly!!
